Ms. Lindsey Thorne teaches students in Kindergarten through second grade. She studied Early Childhood Development at Lansing Community College and obtained her bachelor's degree in writing at the University of Olivet, formerly known as Olivet College. She was awarded a teaching permit through the State of Michigan and is in the process of obtaining her license through the Teachers of Tomorrow program. Ms. Thorne is an advocate for social emotional awareness in early learning. She strives to help students build positive relationships with the world around them as they learn the foundations of reading, mathematics and life skills. Outside the classroom she enjoys photography, singing and spending time with her family. Her favorite treats are Terry's Chocolate Oranges and seasonal coffee drinks. 

Mrs. Megan Call is a paraprofessional at Strange School and floats between both classrooms providing instruction, intervention and general classroom support. Megan received her teaching degree at Utah State University and taught both Kindergarten and First Grade. At home for several years with small children, she is excited to be back in the classroom. She is passionate about creating a learning environment where each child feels safe and valued and where they have the tools needed to be successful. Outside of school, she wrangles five kids, a timid tortoise named Tucker and a cat named Sam whom they adopted from Strange School when her own children attended there. In her spare time, Megan loves music, scrapbooking and going on adventures with her family.  

Elizabeth Brooks, who goes by Izzy, is a paraprofessional at Strange School. She supports students in both classrooms, focusing on spelling, phonemic awareness, and building strong foundational literacy skills.

After spending eight years as a stay-at-home mom and two years homeschooling her own children, Izzy discovered a passion for helping students learn and grow. She is dedicated to encouraging children, building their confidence, and supporting their success in the classroom.

As a mom of three, Izzy understands both the joys and challenges that come with learning. She strives to create a nurturing, positive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Outside of school, Izzy enjoys reading and creating epoxy resin crafts. She is excited to partner with students, families, and staff to make it a wonderful and successful school year.
