Teachers

Mrs. Reed graduated from Aquinas College with her degree in Elementary Education. She previously taught kindergarten and 2^nd grade at St. Patrick’s in Portland. She later became director and lead teacher of Grand Ledge Cooperative Preschool and most recently, taught 6^th grade at Hayes Intermediate School. Mrs. Reed loves to bake, especially around the holidays, and really enjoys shopping vintage markets, crafting, and decorating. Additionally, she and her family like to take day or weekend trips together, watch movies, play with their two Boston Terriers, and entertain family and friends while enjoying fellowship and food. Mrs. Reed lives in Delta Township with her husband and daughter, who is a sophomore in high school. They also have a grown son who is currently living with them before moving out of state for work at the end of the year. Mrs. Reed is very excited about teaching this year at Strange Elementary. She is looking forward to working with students and their families and has always believed in and nurtured a collaborative educational relationship between school and home. Teaching in a one room schoolhouse has been on her bucket list since she went into teaching many years ago.
